I build real-time systems, from schematic capture through firmware to the control loop.

About

I’m a second-year student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, doubling in Robotics Engineering and Financial Technology, with junior standing by credit. Most of what I’ve built lives at the boundary between hardware and software: a circuit board that reads handwriting, a robot that won its class competition, an underwater vehicle, and an automated trading system that places real orders.

The thing I’ve spent the most time getting good at isn’t building. It’s checking. Almost every project below includes a point where I tested my own work hard enough to find out it didn’t hold up, and then said so.

Handwriting-recognition smart pen ↗

A pen that reads handwriting on the device itself, with no phone and no cloud. 214 components across 11 hierarchical schematic sheets, drawn by hand. Boards expected late 2026.

Automated equity trading system ↗

Scans roughly 3,000 tickers at about 1,000 requests per second and places real orders through a broker API, sized small. Six rebuilds over 18 months. Five lost money, and the useful work was figuring out why. The sixth trades live capital, with an edge that held stable across 2021 through 2026 in testing and matches in live trading so far.

Autonomous competition robot ↗

The full autonomous and driver-controlled software for a VEX V5 robot: a 61-state sequence, three days of work against a hard deadline, first place in the class competition, February 2026.

Underwater ROV control system ↗

A remotely operated underwater vehicle built on a fixed budget. Four motors in a perpendicular cross, Arduino nodes driven over a serial protocol I designed, telemetry on demand. Proposed and funded by my high school teacher.

Vision-guided tracking pipeline ↗

A closed-loop tracker split across two machines: 240 Hz capture on one host, YOLO inference on a remote GPU, corrections to a Raspberry Pi. About 20 ms end to end, with a Smith-predictor delay line that cut overshoot from roughly 100 percent to 18.
